Electrical Division Projects

Alcoa Wheel Products, Forging Facility - Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico Complete electrical project management and field supervision, including procurement of all equipment for power infrastructure. Installation included 115-13.8 KV, 20 MVA main substation, five unit substations, twenty-five motor control centers and miscellaneous electrical for a 375,000 square foot building. Client equipment consisted of one billet saw, one preheat furnace, three presses at 3,000, 5,000 and 8,000 tons, heat treating and aging furnaces and all necessary machining equipment.
Florida Power & Light - Martin County, FL Complete installation of two General Electric 135 MW Turbuines. This work included the power, controls, instrumentation and tubing for the project including The Center-Line Turbine installation.
Gulf States Tube - Rosenberg, TX Design and installation of an assel/stretch reducing mill addition to an existing facility. The work included all power, control and instrumentation including a new substation. We also provided power factor and harmonics correction.
WITCO Corporation - Marshall, Texas Plant additions include a new process area with 1250 instrument loops, new motor control center, new power distribution equipment, and a new DCS control system. This installation was primarily in a Class I Division 1 area. Intrinsically safe instrumentation wiring was used to help reduce the hardwiring cost of the instrument installation. Our successful completion of this work has caused WITCO Corporation to continue to use CCC Group, Inc. and our talented field staff for support on their ongoing expansion.
Champion Paper - Lufkin, Texas Plant additions, Capital Projects, working directly with plant engineering and operations personnel to successfully install various new systems. Some of the electrical projects consisted of new motor control centers, with controls being interfaced with the existing Provox management system. Additionally, we installed new reliance drives on speedup projects for existing paper machines. We excel in coordination of construction efforts around operating facilities, working closely with operations at every level.
Air Liquide - Longview, Texas Installation of an 8,000 horsepower compressor, three new coldboxes and peripheral equipment as part of a strategic plant addition to provide oxygen, nitrogen, and argon to Texas Eastman's Longview plant. This included 5 Modin Buildings located to minimize hardwiring and instrument tubing. Each Modin Building contained its own remote PLC I/O and motor control center providing local 480 volt power as required by the area. Air Liquide's choice to use CCC Group, Inc. on this I&E project proved to be successful for both companies. We delivered this high profile project on time and within their expected budget.
Georgia Pacific Sawmill - Idabell, Oklahoma Complete electrical installation of a grassroots, high-tech, fully optimized sawmill, including power distribution. The controls of each area and component are centralized and connected to the PLC via a data highway. This system was installed on a fast track schedule, requiring our field personnel to coordinate the electrical interface with the engineer and suppliers. We base a large part of our success on this project, and all our other projects, on the high reliability of our termination work and a trouble free start-up.
