What began as a small family owned construction operation now stands
2,000 employees strong
and is steadily on its way to making each employee an OWNER.
Effective January 1, 2004, CCC Group, Inc. adopted its Employee Stock
Ownership Plan (ESOP). The
original ownership has long recognized the efforts of its employees and
wanted to reward them for their long and loyal service.
CCC Group has always prided itself in having employees that take a
genuine interest in not only their
job, but in the operation of the entire
organization and ensuring exceptional project performance for the client.
These employees, even prior to the ESOP, were strongly committed
and sincerely interested in the company’s well-being and success thus
the ESOP has served to further enhance this commitment and interest.
The combined dedication and support from all the employees, along with the
entrepreneurial leadership of the owners and management have made this
company one of the top 400 contractors in the country, as per
Engineering News-Record's
annual evaluation of the nation's contractors. CCC Group, Inc.'s predecessor was founded in 1947 by Merl Huebner, George Guthrie, Fred Novak and Milton Irwin. One of the company's major milestones was the transition to a second generation of management involving two of the founding families. Statistics indicate that 80 to 95 percent of family owned businesses fail to survive this transition, yet each family accepted the challenge and the business beat the odds. However, reaching that milestone has almost served as a catalyst for many others that have followed. One of the more recent and notable milestones has been extending the ownership role to the employees through ESOP. Another key component to our success has been our ability to change and adapt, while maintaining strong values and work ethic. Just as our clients and the economic environments of various industries evolved, so has our company and the areas in which we work. The initial decision was made in the 1960's to move from commercial building to providing construction services to heavy industries so this expanded our capabilities into a number of construction related fields. This change in course paved the way for future success and growth. Today, CCC Group performs work in the aluminum, steel, metals, petrochemical, power, cement, material handling, mining, marine and general manufacturing industries as well as in the wood products and detention industries. In addition, CCC Group has several discipline-specific divisions for projects that have civil, electrical, fabrication and machining-intensive scopes. CCC Group has also been fortunate to have several successful projects with international clients. In crossing state and international boundaries, the company has assured its passage into the new millennium, through this internationalization and diversification in the work force. The passion of the founders to simply improve their own existence, 60 years ago, has resulted in a company that is still thriving today and extending the pride of ownership to all of its loyal employees. |
