Frac Sand Plant

CCC's Salt Lake City team was awarded full construction responsibility to build a new FRAC-Sand Plant.  The scope of work included, civil, foundations, structural steel and capital equipment installations. The project consisted of truck and rail load-out facilities, feed and transfer conveying systems, dryer feed transfer, scrubber, and other associated process equipment.   

Gypsum Processing Mill Expansion  
   

The project included overall expansion to the production of wallboard by increasing the output of the plant to one billion feet of wallboard per year.  The construction included all civil, structural, mechanical and electrical construction as well as all tie-in construction to the product lines. 

Pre-heater Tower Modification
         

 

The project consisted of major modifications to an existing Preheater Tower.  Approximately 175 tons of new structural steel were added to the existing structure, to increase the height by 120 ft.  The existing ductwork was removed and 170 tons of new 108-inch diameter duct was installed.  The scope also included installation of two new I.D. fans, miscellaneous screw conveyors and a water spray equipment room.  Due to production needs the schedule was very aggressive following two months of preparatory work, the installation of the new duct and equipment included commissioning.  The work was completed in  4-weeks, for each kiln line.
