10 Million Safe Hours

CCC Group is pleased to announce that we have recently surpassed a significant safety milestone. Through the direct efforts, support and dedication of our employees, we have worked 10 Million Safe Hours with No Lost Time Injuries since February 2016.

This exceptional accomplishment could not have been attained without the steadfast commitment to safety demonstrated by all members of the CCC Group team. Our focus on making every hour a safe hour ensures every employee returns home safely.

It is through this determined approach that we are confident in our ability to continue on toward the next safety milestone.

CCC Ranked Among the Top 400 Contractors

In May 27/June3, 2019 issue of Engineering News-Record (ENR), CCC Group has moved up in ranking among industry peers and competitors.

CCC’s 2019 ranking is #274 among the top 400 US Contractors.

We also improved our position among the top contractors in the “Industrial” sector from #20 to #17.  Interesting to note, ENR reports that the top 20 industrial contractors captured 72.5% of this sector’s activity.

New Leadership – President/CEO and Executive VP of Operations

After a 35 year career at CCC Group, Tim Henning announced his retirement for May 2018, which was followed by the Board of Directors naming his successor, Joe A. Garza. Joe began his career with CCC Group in 2009 as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. With a B.S. from Texas A&M University and a law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, he has managed the Legal and Risk Management departments of the company for the past 9 years. Former responsibilities entailed negotiation of complex construction contracts; management of all internal and external litigation and dispute resolution efforts; address company-wide insurance and bonding matters; development and oversight of HR policies and procedures; resolution of employment claims; management of corporate records; and served as counsel to the company’s board of directors.

The Board of Directors also named Rob Urban as the Executive Vice President of Operations. Rob has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University as well as an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. His background also includes serving four years active duty as Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Rob started with the company in 1980 and prior to his new role, had been serving as Vice President of the Western Group in addition to being a member of the Board of Directors. His experience includes management and oversight of regional office operations and a wide variety of projects, specializing in construction of coastal marine projects as well as projects in the oil and gas, power and cement industries.

CCC Commemorates 70 Year Anniversary

 

70 years ago, the desire of two men to provide for their families was the inspiration to build the corporation that we know today. Even through the transitions from private family ownership to their next generation heirs and finally to an employee-owned company, the foundational values and services remain at the company’s core.

CCC’s longevity and strength are a direct result of the employees’ work ethic, dedication, integrity, teamwork and motivation in building strong relationships with our customers, service providers and each other.

We are profoundly grateful to all those who have contributed to our success. Working in a wide range of industries throughout the U.S. and abroad, from regional offices to extremely remote job sites, we recognize and appreciate the achievements of our predecessors as well as those who are actively contributing today.

We commemorate this milestone and also use it to fuel new inspiration to create great achievements as we continue to strive to be a premier heavy industrial contractor.

Significant Safety Milestone

At the end of February (2017), CCC passed the significant safety milestone of 1 million hours without a recordable incident and 4.5 million hours since the last lost time incident.

These milestones could not have been reached without every employee’s hard work and dedication to the company’s EHS program and ultimately our focus on Achieving Zero Accidents.
